I haven't caught any in my AS game, but I constantly breed shinies in my X version. No clue how much I have right now. :P

You will! The easiest way is fishing if you don't have the shiny charm. The two I have caught I used fishing method without the shiny charm

I've caught around five shiny octillerys but traded them all, three shiny alomomolas, a shiny sharpedo, a shiny cyndaquil, a shiny meditite, a shiny ivysaur, a shiny poliwhirl twice, a shiny spritzee, a shiny swablu, a shiny lanturn twice, a shiny wartortle, a shiny ponyta, a shiny plusle, a shiny foongus, a shiny weepinbell that I evolved into a victreebel, three shiny larvestas, a shiny trevenant, three shiny gyarados, a shiny seaking, a shiny relicanth, two shiny dragalge, a shiny spheal, a shiny wailmer, a shiny muk, and a shiny teddiursa.

...I've been pretty busy this summer.

Also got more than two dozen from the GTS and random trades.
So far got about 180 shinies altogether.
And I voted for shiny wailmer as well.

In my omega ruby I caught: shiny numel, shiny koffing, shiny zigzagoon and shiny makuhita in the same day , and a random shiny buneary that made appearance, was on the dex nav and out of curiosity I checked out the buneary and it shined .
