How do I register?
Registration is simple. Click on the Register button that appears on the left of every page to be taken to our registration form. Simply fill this out to become a registered member. It's that simple!

How much does registration cost?
Nothing. Everything on PokeBay is absolutely free. We are out to provide people with a place to trade Pokemon not make money. We don't even try to make money by forcing you to look at ads all the time. To trade Pokemon is our goal.

Do I need a valid email address?
Yes you do. You must have an email account which you are able to access and send/recieve emails through. It can be a free email account such as Hotmail, Gmail or any of the other free accounts out there, but it must be valid.

Why do I need a valid email address?
We require you to have a valid email address so that you can be notified upon the acceptance of an offer or other such functions of the site. PokeBay will never send you any emails that are counted as Spam. PokeBay will only give out your email address to those who you agree to trade with. This is so both you and the person you are going to trade with can get in contact with each other to organise a time and swap friend codes.

How do I activate my account?
Once you have successfully registered your account, you will be sent an email with your login details and a link. Please click on the link provided in this email to activate your account.

Why do I need to activate my account?
By activating your account you are doing 2 things. 1) you are confirming you registered here. There's nothing worse then being signed up for something without you knowing about it and 2) confirming that your email address is valid. You will be recieving emails regarding any trades that you may complete and need a working email address for this to happen.

Why do I need to re-activate my account after changing my email address?
This is just to confirm that your new email address is also a valid one. You'll just need to click the link provided in an email that will be sent to you. If you do not recieve this email and it is a valid account please contact us here.

My Activation email didn't come through. Help!
This isn't a problem. All you need to do is send an email to support@pokebay.com from the email address you entered and your username and we will manually activate your account for you. We will then send you a confirmation email to let you know your account is activated.

What is my profile?
Your profile is just your username, Games you own, Date of Birth and Location which you provide when you register (or add afterwards). Nothing is required so if you do not wish to have some information know then you do not have to enter it.

How do I edit my profile?
In the left hand menu on every page is a button labeled 'Edit Profile'. Click this to be taken to a page where you can edit the information you have/want to add.

Do I have to enter profile information?
No you don't. Any information you don't want to be displayed to the public you can leave blank and it won't be shown. That said, your username will always be able to be viewed from the public and can't be removed from the display.

Why do you want information on me?
This information is just a way of members to get to know a little about a potential trader. For example, a person can view another member's location and decide whether timezone differences may be too great to deal with, or a member may want to know what Pokemon games the trader owns first.

How do I trade? Does PokeBay work with ...
When a trader accepts your offer you will be notified by email. It is then up to both the trader and the offerer to organise a time to trade. All trading is done in game and PokeBay has nothing else to do with the trades. At the moment the only games that support trading over Wi-Fi are Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver. There are a number of guides available on the internet on receiving your friend code and how to trade.
You tarde over Wi-Fi by going to the bottom floor of a PokeCenter. Talk to one of the receptionists to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and begin trading. To find your friend code (or register another person's code) you have to use your 'Pal Pad'. This is found in the Key Items section of your bag and obtained after going to the bottom floor of a PokeCenter for the first time.
