Did you know that if you pokemon that has pokerus it wont lose the disease if its in the Pokemon box storage . It can stay in there for months and years and never lose it . However , If you take it in your party you will lose the disease over night . I recommend preserving it in the box so you can spread it when your ready .

*NOTE* YOUR POKEOMN DOESNT LOSE THE DISEASE IT JUST WONT BE ABLE TO SPREAD TO OTHER POKEMON ANYMORE !

I've got a Pokemon with Pokerus. I was lucky that my Munna was slower than a Mincinno Or else my team wouldn't have the Pokerus. I now got 2 rows of Pokemon with Pokerus in my PC.
