Okay, so I'm always making new teams , but most of them fail. I don't think I'm using good pokemon,so what are some of the best pokemon? (besides legendaries)

BlueHero

faidra- i've been trying to get an espeon with magic bounce.
Damian- Well, I need some power houses, like pokmeon that can easily break through the oppenents pokemon but I also am thinking about what pokemon to use for defense

well get final evos of starters they seem to have the best hp beside legends
swampert would be ideal for a team needing powerhouses
so would septile well also charizard or blastoise infenape

I was thinking about using metagross because it's pretty good all around. Haxorus I think could be used to destroy the defensive pokemon but i still need some defense. (I know ferrothorn is an awesome choice)

Truffle- I usually think of swampert as a defensive pokemon.
Also I need some good offensive pokemon with high speed.

truffle- actually most of the final evo. of starter pokemons HP kinda stink compared to other pokemon. Most of the starters HP are 80
Some of them are pretty good though like torterra and swampert

The best physical sweeper out there if you breed him properly and ev train him proerly will be Salamence... Not only does he have a ridiculous attack stat but he has a great speed stat... Couple that with Dragon dance you can sweep a whole team with one or two dragon dances. It will be your greatest investment in a physical sweeper if you manage to breed him right... An adamant bagon that likes to thrash about is win

i have a salamence except it doesn't know dragon dance so i need to teach it that

Charizard777

i also heard outrage is a good move to use with salamence

Kingdra is good when Politoed uses Drizzle, also allows Jolteon & Zapdos to easily strike with Thunder.

My Kingdra with dragon dance and outrage swept a whole team a few times before

Might I recommend a dark pokemon? Im a Dark gym leader and would recommend Drapion as a sweeper or a Zoroark with extrasensory?

Charizard777
04-26-2012, 12:29 PM
pzay- I'm using an ambipom. Also I'm trying to make a real balance team trying to make sure 2 pokemon don't have the same type weakness, but if I have to use 2 pokemon with the same type weakness I will

I agree with the earlier post about Salamence, My own has Dragon claw, Crunch, rockslide and fly, and manages to sweep the vast majority of pokemon. Also may I suggest Milotic? With the right nature it can become a massive damage absorber, with the potential for decent Sp.Atk. my usual 3rd party is my own charizard. With a speed/sp.atk nature it is capable of immense damage - Give it Blast Burn and it takes out most pokemon instantly (unless it has resistance). A great damage absorber is Aggron, just be careful of sp.def, with a bad nature sp.def can become a liability. Hope this helps :)

Hippowdon With Sand force, in double battle use a pokemon with me first or rage powder. Then use sandstorm and bang u will destroy the whole team unless a special move is used that is super effective or use a pokemon that knows trick room and use sandstorm the first move :)

I'd say Rhypherior is pretty good all-around, aside from speed. For defense, I'd go for Spiritomb or Sableye, as there are many attacks with no effect on them, and no attacks that are super-effective! Flygon is one of my favorites too because it is fast, and it can learn a very wide variety of attacks, same with Drgonite

use glaceon because it has high special attack and all its other stats are high

Ev train a Dusclops give it an eviolite get it with calm bold sassy or maybe(not likely though) relaxed nature and make it defensive or teach it trick room, willo wisp, helping hand, night shade or seismic toss but you have to breed with seismic toss.

eviolite can be effective with many pre-evolution pokemon or try it with scyther or piloswine or others

You can use walls and pzay33 says bulky pokemon to dwindle down there HP and to resist heavy attackers

Scrafty hands down, it has perfect coverage

My current team is Conkeldurr, Hydreigon, Chandelure, Tyranitar, Aerodactyl and Bisharp. It works rather well, but the staple of the team is Conkeldurr. It has a Flame Orb for Guts, Mach Punch for priority, Drain Punch for health regeneration, Bulk Up to ensure sweeping power and Payback for Ghost-types and other things that may wall him. Just train 252 attack, 120 into HP and 136 in SpD. A lot of people prefer Leftovers instead of Flame Orb, but get one with Guts and use that moveset and you should be good. Or instead of Bulk Up, you can use Facade because of the power, but I prefer 1-2 Bulk Ups and sweeping with that moveset. Up to you!

A haxorus is a great pokemon to have on a team as a sweeper. It should have mold breaker so it covers a wide variety of pokemon it cna easily defeat. The best natures for it would be jolly or adamant. Then, the move set should be simple. Brick Break (normal, ice), Earthquake (to take down the flying types), Dragon Dance (I simply believe all sweepers need this move), Dragon claw/Dragon rush
