the lavender town syndrome is the name of some reports and myths and eye witnesses
the first is the music of death. the high pitched first gen lavender town in the prototpye red/blue caused crying and some suicides so before it went to america, GameFreak had to fix the frequecies of the music.
the second theory: Gary's Raticate
this is the story of the theory on Gary's Raticate
all of the people who played the red and blue versions and even leafgreen have seen that when you face your enemy on the S.S Anne Gary ( or whatever you have named him ) has a team of:
the starter he chose (bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle,or on the yellow version, eevee)
a level 19 spearow
a level 16 ratatta
and a level 18 sandshrew
but when you defeat him and go to the pokemon tower in lavender town, he says "hey your pokemon arent dead yet, atleast i can make them faint!" ( thats in the yellow version ) then you will go into battle sequence
the reason is the raticate (rattata in yellow) has sustained major injuries and because of the commotion on the SS anne....Raticate.....passes away since he cant get to a pokemon center in time
( :( )
after the battle he says " i caught a little cubone, but i couldnt find any full grown marowaks "
in almost every pokemon game, there is an element that makes you feel sad
for example Mt Pyre in the hoenn region or the celestial tower in W/B.
and then there is the CREEPY BLACK VERSION which is a glitch
this is how to make your red/blue version into creepy black version

also there is one other which i dont have much info on which is missing No's identity
im sure that there is only one place in lavender town that this could possobly be,
it has to have something to do with the pokemon tower

that is the full video of the lavender town theory.
enjoy
im going into in depth research on this for a few days
but at the end, Exflar will contridict me to no end
:( i feel bad for Gary's Raticate)
R.I.P little buddy!

Very thorough. I remember reading old reports of the mysterious frequencies of the Lavender Town track. I've been looking everywhere for a "first wave release" of Pokemon Green that still has an intact battery. I want to experience the track for myself lol. My copy of Green was given to me a year after the initial launch date; I presume the track had been fixed by then because it sounded perfectly normal to me.

I'm flattered by the personal shout-out :P There's no need for contradicting discussion if all the research is thorough. Kudos kiddo
