Anyone have a hard time sleeping? Do you go to bed at 8:00 and actually go to sleep at 12:00??? Anyone have tips to go to sleep? If you have an answer for any of these questions, post it!

Do, as much as possible, push-ups and sit-ups before you go to sleep. And when you're in bed, listen to music.

Exercising before bed can help, or it'll do the opposite. Exercising gets your blood flowing and sometimes it causes you to be more awake. Try settling down around 6:00 and then by 8:00, you'll start getting tired.

Work out/exercise during the day. Don't eat junk before bed, cut down on caffeine (caffeine is present in things other than soda, which is critical to remember) and don't use electronics an hour before you intend to fall asleep. Also, reading/doing other activities in bed that stimulate your brain will gradually associate your bed with more involved brain activity and thus keep you awake longer when you try to use your bed for sleeping. (I wrote a 20+ page paper on sleep deprivation/insomnia my freshman year of college, ick.)

Yeah I know ya problem... I go to bed 9:00 but don't sleep until somewhere between 12 and 3 AM. Wear yourself out by doing exercise in the day, relax with a bath or quietly play slow tempo music on ipod/mp4.
