Just what I was thinking!;)

Although, I really like the Dream World, that normally keeps me busy!

*snort* It definitly isn't the shortest. It took me pretty much longer to beat it then most of the pokemon games I own. Dream World is really fun, and so is the new battling methods like Rotation and Triple!:D It isn't on my favorite of all time list, but it is near there!

I don't hate the game maybe, but I myself much prefer Soul Silver. I have no idea why though...

Monty
12-27-2011, 01:05 PM
I haven't beaten it. I just don't like the leveling up though it could be it's the first set of Generation V games. I've been kind of annoyed that you struggle for experience up to level 50 and with just a couple of hours I can push 5 of my pokemon 10 levels each in Heart/Gold.

Pikachu Belle

A good way to level up is just find loads of Audino. Thats what i did. :) ^

Monty
12-28-2011, 12:43 AM
Yeah the key notion is find. I suppose when I get some key HMs. But I don't want to go on a lottery hunt for strong pokemon to lv up. A flurry of pokemon a decent lv that you can at least somewhat benefit from is tolerable.

Yet, all of use have our own opinions right?

Nicely put, I agree with you, although the Game is very different from other Pokemon games, so it depends if you're an old school fan.

I started my Pokemon Life in Pokemon Black.
I saw my old friends in my old country on how they played it. I was interested, but they won't let me borrow it. So, I was curios.
I transferred in US, I asked my dad to get me one, since I have no idea how to operate it, he asked me that there was a new game, and he asks me if I want the Dragon/Fire or Dragon/Electric. Since, I know that dragons breath fire, I picked the Dragon/Fire which is normal.
I played the game, got my butt kicked in the Elite4 first try: Team: Serperior lv. 46, Emolga lv. 60
And they both got Koed by Co***rigus, since I have no idea what Pokemons are, but got through the most part of the game; and that's how my Pokemon Life begun. I researched about all Pokemon things, and now, I'm a Pokemon Black/White connoisseur. lol.
Which means, I know the glitches, moves, evolutions, of most pokemons.
I miss my old classmates :(

Well being an old school fan doesn't mean anything necessarily. I'm an old school fan, heck, my first video game ever was Pokemon Green. And I love everything they've come out with!

I think it's more a matter of how people adjust to progress.

It's something that you need.

Grammar makes the difference between the phrases:

"Let's eat, Grandma!"

and

"Let's eat grandma."

Grammar can save lives.

Tbh it took me a while to warm up to Pokemon Black but now it is the game I've played most hours on. I think it's the best pokemon game (apart from yellow of course! XD).

i havent seen that anywhere else lol. also i honestly have a love/hate relationship with b/w on one hand they are the best games grapically ie moving pokemon, better attack graphics and in other ways it is good as well ie ability to use a variety of wifi connections, gts negotiations wifi battles. then on the other hand the story line is ok but not great, leveling up takes FOREVER,i honestly hate dw besides being able to get free berries and pokemon, its like im playing a game made for 5 year olds when im on dw,lack of subtypes for serperior and samurott but emboar gets a fire/fight type, OVER use of psychic typing:really swoobat is psychic how?? overall its an ok game but i prefer platinum and hg/ss. hoping that bw2 can make me a believer that pokemon is still as good as it was back in its hayday

You should probably aim your opinions at people who care. Then again, in said case, I believe you would classify that as a thought. Keep them to yourself champ.

If you are gonna make a bold statement, please back it up with evidence xD.

Pros:
Great Storyline
Different difficulty settings from older generations (Grass is hardest to start with)
Pokemon are animated while in battle (More life-like)
Re-addition of Seasons and Day/Night cycle
3-Dimensional Epicness
New Battle Methods (ie. Triple, Rotation)
Dream World
Team Plasma (Not conquering the world, but saving pokemon from trainers)
PokeTransfer
Runs a bit faster than the old chunky feel of the Sinnoh-generation *opinion*
Wonder Launcher
Unique Region Shape
Combination Attacks
Critical Capture
Infinite TM use

Cons:
Pokemon losing creativity (really Ice-cream and Lamps)
Dream World is repetitive
Relocator is useless except for one quest
Lags a bit from 3D effects (may be just me)
Lacks huge opportunities where the new battle methods can be used (very few of them)
White Forest/Black City requires DS Entralink Interaction
Surveys? *honestly I think this is stupid*
Battle Subway BP gain is too slow
Missing GBA Pokemon Transfer *I wish it had this still*
Needs more gift/interactable pokemon
Cave dirt shaking is a bit plain, only pokemon you can obtain is Drilbur and its evo
Combination attacks are cool but very limited
Very little minigames (No more pokeblock/poffin making/contests/etc.)

Decent points..

However, your "cons" include some nonfactual opinion (ahem ahem, invalid sources of "evidence").
My main concern, is that you claim to think "pokemon [is] losing creativity".

Let's look at Gen I shall we?
-A ball with a face that evolves into...a ball with a face, upside down.
-A badly polygon-oriented computer program.
-A mime who is ignorant of it's gender.
-A ball with magnets that evolves into...three balls with magnets.
-Three blobs of purple goo (two are sewage brought to life by moonlight, and one that reproduces with everything)

Gen II
-Metalic alphabet soup. With eyes. *shudder*

Gen III
-A geomagnet rock with a nose.
-A Bell chime. With a ribbon.
-An amorphous hunk of blue steel.
-A small, frostbitten, eskimo child.

Gen IV
-A balloon that evolves into...a hot air balloon.
-A mirror that evolves into...a bell.
-A bell to evolve to the bellchime
-A bigger geomagnet with a moustache.

So who's to say that they're running out of ideas? THEY AREN'T. If you didn't know, Unova is heavily based on NYC--and by extension, all of modern-western civilization.
-Vanillite evolutionary family: Based on the fact that the number 1 dessert commodity in America is ICE CREAM.
-Litwick evolutionary family: Based on hitodama (ghostly flames or will-o-wisps emitted by ectoplasmic creatures)

And I agree with Dr. Smiles' pros, but cons is a little... like the GBA transfer... This game has things that only works on DSi and 3DS (videochat), and these two devices doesn't have GBA inputs, so how should you transfer GBA pokemon? via 4th gen transfer... And those who doesn't like slow lvl up, I think it'll make it more harder, and I like that, the lvl up in the former games was too easy for me (as I think)

5th gen is a nice game
But for 2 months or so, it gets boring.
I know that because I have restarted my game 17 times.
Restarted it with different starters and weak pokemons (i.e. patrat)

So I stopped playing it for quite awhile. I've been playing Harvest Moon ever since...
