Pokewalker Troubles

So when I go to send a Pokemon to my pokewalker(I just got Soul Silver back from my sister and I found my unused Pokewalker) When I press the little button like it says, nothing happens. What do I do?

Probably need to change the battery. Or the battery may have leaked but I don't know. The screws are rather tiny btw...

Yeah the screws are tiny. i dont have a screwdriver small enough to open it. About how much would a new battery cost?

I honestly don't know in terms of American Dollars. But they should be a reasonable price for 1 pack of those disc shaped batteries.
