i Used the GTS to get a Japanese ditto and a female Oshawott, and left them in the day care on route three. got a shiny.

In the beginning of my B2 i was training my pokemon in double grass when a normal and shiny venipede popped out of nowhere i was like OH WOW since this never really happened to me in the beginning of a game before. So now i have a shiny scolipede that i use in my team :3

Okay well.

I haven't found any shiny pokemon on my own accord. I got over 100 of them from trading over the GTS. :>

It's easier than any other method, if you can offer people the right pokemon.

Don't feel discouraged, getting a shiny takes time and lots of it. But if you have B2 or W2 you are in luck. After you defeat the elte 4, go beat Alder at his house, then go to Black City and in to the Black Tower for B2, or White Forest and white Tower for W2. Beat all Ten levels. It takes about a Day with power pokemon like level 60+ but the stronger the better. After defeating either place go back to Alder's house and his grandson will give you either a shiny Gible (B2) or a shiny Drainiti (W2). or see all pokemon in the unova dex then go see Pro. Juniper and she will give you a pass. Take it to the airport at the city with the flying gym. Get on the plane and you will be taken to a reserve where you will find a shing Haxorus in the middle of it. Not hard to find but its down to the right passed a lot of trees. After you have seen and caught every pokemon in the dex all 649 (You do not need any event pokemon like Mew, Darkrai ect.) Go back to Pro. Junpiers house/Lab and take to her and her father. They will give you a shiny charm. Your chanches of getting a shiny will increase 300%

If you dont have either game get a Japeness ditto and use it to breed with any english pokemon. Your chances greatly increase from 1 in 8,192 to 1 in 2,048.
