View Full Version : [Gen 5] Has Anyone Noticed?

So I recently noticed while training (only happening to Braviary, but I have had it happen in other generations; but I just thought I was losing my mind), sometimes after I complete a battle (and not leveled up), my Pokemon will gain one base HP stat. I don't know why. For example, my Braviary was at 205 base HP. Then after the battle, I noticed it had 206 (when I called it out in the next battle is when I noticed). Is there a special thing I don't know about happening?

it depends... does it have pokeruss or had pokeruss?

No it doesn't and did not (unless it did sometime in the wild lol)

EVs probably? I think in gen 5 they're added after the battle.

Yes evs are addaed after the battle not at level-ups so now you can ev traina level 100 pokemon. Its kinda cool to watch the evs go up.

EVs in the 5th gen are added up at the end of a battle, so if you got a total number that is a multiple of 4 as your number of EVs, the base stat will go up one point. EV trainers love that but it confuses people when they are just battling around for purposes of leveling up.
