How to close thread?

Hi i know this sounds dumb but how do i close a thread? i have seen that you can but i don't know how and there is nothing about it under Faq.

Only Super Mods and Admins can close a thread. If you want one of your threads closed use the report post button (triangle with a ! in it) and say you want your thread closed.

Ok thanks! i was wondering because i saw at the bottom if it has a lock the thread is closed. and my thread looking for a shiny giratina is closed but not really closed.
