Suspicious Shiny Mew

Hey, everyone

I've been seeing a lot of lvl. 100 shiny Mew lately. And I was wondering, Is it even possible to get one that is not hacked? I don't now any game where you can catch Mew. And Pokebank isn't even out yet. But maybe I'm wrong? I don't now if there was an event or something?

There was an event in Gen 3 which allowed you to get Mew so I'm guessing it'd be obtainable via 'Soft Reset' :p

It is possible in 3rd Gen. in japan they had a event for emerald to get the old sea map and you could go to faraway island and catch mew. then you could SR for one :p
