Not sure if you know this Stormwalker, but the Destiny Knot is available in the game so there isn't necessarily a need to trade for one. Unless you wish to have a second Destiny Knot. :p

There is infinite in the game. You get them off of one of the girls you battle in Lumiose City. I can't remember exactly where but it is in a backalley next to one of the cafes.

Yah I got the original one and accidently sold it -.- and I did the battle in Lumiose City and she never gave me one there either so now I need to find one from the community.
