Shiny Mew...

I read a post somewhere on here that Shiny Mew can only be Japanese and if it isn't than it's illegal...and the one I currently have is English. I really don't know if it is hacked or not. It says it's from Hoenn, I won't say the OT, and it's lvl 100 in a pokeball. I got it from a friend who got it from a friend. :(

Is there a way I can check if it's hacked? I have X, I know there was a website for B/W to check, but haven't found one for X/Y. And if you know for certain that it is hacked, then please tell me.

If anyone wants it despite knowing it may be hacked then I will trade. Just know that I am not saying that it is completely legit or completely illegal. I just don't know so I'm asking on here. Please help!

And please don't state your opinions. I want honest facts of whether Mew can legally be shiny in other languages besides Japanese.

No sorry, the only shiny mew from generation 3 and possibly any other generations was the Japanese Faraway Island Mew.

I will trade for it if you'd like. What are you looking for?
