Most time spent for a shiny?

Whats the most eggs you've had to hatch to get a shiny?
So far I trying to get a shiny honedge and I have over 100 reg honedges

mine isnt really related to hatching... mine was actually when i just started out and just got my first pokeball in the game... and then when i went on the grass looking for pokemon just outside the forest i suddenly saw a shiny pidgey... ALREADY! that was my first encounter with pokemon in y... its probably hard to believe cause of the 1 of 8000+ possibility. But seriously... this actually happened

I'm currently at 1150 eggs and haven't gotten a shiny yet :/

1,237 eggs for a shiny buneary. ewe;;;; It was back in Sinnoh, that's why it took so dang long. >~<

i bred 100-200 sneasel eggs, no matsuda method or anything, and one ended up shiny. also no shiny charm :P

I did a little over 160 eggs and hatched a shiny honedge with medusa method and no shiny charm

Wow, that's pretty lucky. The hunts under 200 are always so worth it.
