Pokémon Z? Pretty sure that was confirmed to not be real some time ago. Maybe something new was leaked but if so I cant find anything about it. Either way, both for me :D

Even though xerneas is better offensively I still prefer yveltal, because I'm gothic and blue is not my color.

I got Y as a pre-installed game on my ds and bought X from a friend so I can just switch from one to the other without carrying multiple games :D

The only difference are the mega stones and some version exclusive pokemon (which can be found on the GTS easily).
The mega stones can be traded fairly easily for your version exclusive mega stones.
And maybe a slightly different storyline around the mascott legendary, which of course is also different for each version.

I just picked X because a friend picked Y, but to be honest, I wouldn't really care much as they're 99% identical.
