So yesterday or I guess this morning at midnight I hatched my first shiny via masuda method! ^.^ I was so happy and it's my all time favorite start too, a piplup so I wanna know what was your first shiny via masuda method?

Lol why paras?

Nothing wrong with Paras/Parasect. And I was the bug gym leader so I really wanted a shiny Paras.

Shiny paras doesn't look that cool, it's not that big a difference. But good for you! Enjoy the paras if that's what you like. I would probably breed for another shiny before paras, that's all.

As for Masuda Method, I have tried but I've never had the patience to hatch something yet. Maybe I shall try again today.

I've been going crazy trying to get a Japanese ditto for this method, but gts is full of wanted legendaries

Fishbones you mean "GTS is full of 10 year old kids with no brains."
Why would anyone want a useless pokemon for a legendary? That's just idiotic.

My first was a Scyther I didn't evolve him because I didn't want him to evolve

after not having luck with hatching 1300+ eggs for a shiny vulpix, i got excited when i hatched a shiny sentret in less than 60 eggs.

Mine would be my lovely Snorut which is now a Froslass. It was my first shiny with the masuda method, and it still is my most precious Pokémon.

I only menaged to get a MM shiny in this gen and it was a Shiny Ralts. At 300+ eggs. Obviously I am bad at this, as it is the only one I bothered to look for so far. Especially when I got 5 other shinies from Friend Safaris and their bigger shiny rate, in probably half the time. XD

50 eggs really isn't anything at all when it comes to masuda methoding. The chance is 1/512 so being so disappointed after only 50 eggs is not really worth it. Many people go 1000s of eggs without a shiny, so 50 eggs is only the tip of the iceberg, my friend.

Hi.

I'm new to the concept of breeding for a shiny. The little breeding I have done is with a Ditto and then whatever pokemon I want to breed. Will an international Ditto work together with my localy catched pokemon work for this method?

If yes, does anyone have one to spare? I can send a Norwegian Ditto your way if that helps sweeten the deal ;)
