Masuda Method help

Normally I wouldn't be asking a question for this topic since I have hatched many shinies through the MM. But I have one question. If I have a ditto from the unova region that is japanese does the MM still work in X and Y? Note: the JPN symbol is present at the top of the screen.

As long as you have a Ditto that is not from your game's region (Like Japanese) in your English Pokémon game, then Masuda Method will work. So yes a Japanese Ditto from the Unova Region will work in X/Y.
