Pokebay 4 Rules Tournament.
Hello, and welcome! I am hosting a Unique Tournament here on Pokebay!
“Why is it Smogon rules?”
“Why isn’t it Normal rules?”
Typical complains about competitions… The fact some people don’t like a certain set of rules, what does this have to do with this tournament? This Tournament will be 3 different rules!
Knock out matches (1st matches): VGC (Nintendo’s own format for battling.)
2nd matches: Smogon OU. (Yes, I know, everyone is a Smogon Hater, but if you put up with it, well, just keep reading)
3rd Matches: No legends. (Everyone knows this one. No Victini, Meloetta, ect.)
4th matches: No rules. (No rules on the Pokemon you use!)
Rules for each of them:
VGC:
• All matches are played in Doubles format
• Pokemon above Level 50 will be brought down to 50 for the match while those below 50 will stay as-is
• Players choose 4 of their 6 registered Pokemon after team preview
• Pokémon must meet all three of the following conditions to be eligible for use:
1. Pokémon must be found in the Coastal Kalos, Central Kalos, or Mountain Kalos Pokédex (Full list can be found here)
2. Pokémon must have been obtained in Pokémon X or Y (identifiable by a blue pentagon on the stats screen)
3. Mewtwo, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde are banned
• Species Clause: No two Pokémon can share the same Pokédex number.
• Item Clause: No two Pokémon can hold the same held item.
Smogon OU:
• Banned Pokemon - A team cannot have any of the Pokemon found in the following tiers: Ubers. (Arceus
• Blaziken
• Darkrai
• Deoxys
• Deoxys-A
• Dialga
• Genesect
• Giratina
• Giratina-O
• Groudon
• Ho-Oh
• Kyogre
• Kyurem-W
• Lugia
• Mewtwo
• Palkia
• Rayquaza
• Reshiram
• Shaymin-S
• Xerneas
• Yveltal
• Zekrom)
• Banned Abilities - A team cannot have a Pokemon with any of the following abilities: Sand Veil and Snow Cloak.
• Banned Items - A team cannot have the Pokemon Latias or Latios with the hold item Soul Dew on their team.
• Drizzle + Swift Swim - Using both a Pokemon with Drizzle and a Pokemon with Swift Swim on the same team is banned.
No legends:
Every Pokemon allowed, multi-Items allowed.
Not allowed: Legends. (This includes, Mew and other “Un-Powerful legends”)
No rules:
All items, All Pokemon allowed.
