Question About Soft-Reseting

So I got Alpha Sapphire. I got the mystery gift Beldum before even getting my starter Pokemon. I am soft-reseting for a female Mudkip. If I soft-reset again, will I lose my Beldum? I don't want to soft reset again unless I know I will still get my Beldum. I'm pretty sure I will, but I want to make sure.

Save your game after you received your shiny Beldum,then you can start SR'ing.
or
Soft-reset first before receiving your shiny Beldum,when you've done SR'ing,then you get your Beldum from Mystery Gift.

what is a soft reset

Means,you basically resetting your game by pressing L+R+Start ( not resetting your save game,just basically "reloading" your game ) when you don't get the Pokemon with it's correct nature/gender or shiny that you wanted.

i saw a glitch with soft resetting to get all 3 starters. is that possible?
