Egg from Laveridge

I got the egg from Lavaridge town but it says It looks as though this egg will take a long time to hatch I've been running around for a while now with it and a pokemon with flamebody and it still says the same thing how long does it normally take to hatch?

I think it's coded so it takes waaaaaaaaay more steps to hatch than an usual version of the pokémon you'll get from the egg. (I don't want to spoil it!) The first possible one has about 20 egg cycles normally and the other one has only 10, but the "It looks as though this egg will take a long time to hatch" appears to those pokémon that have over 40 cycles. A single egg cycle has 257 steps in it so...you do the math :P

Use a bike, its faster for hatching eggs :)

plus sit it next to a pokemon that has flame body or magma armor

Correction:

Place a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor ability in the first slot of your party. This is will make the hatching faster. (I believe it cuts the cycle to half, unsure. But it really helps a ton)
