Simple Psych Up Victini?

Does it work if you use simple beam to change Victini's ability then Psych Up and gain double stats?

I'm looking at a stored power set with P/U as opposed to baton pass from Blaziken and/or Driftblim and/or a calm mind passer.

Yes, if a Pokemon uses Simple Beam on Victini it will change its ability to Simple and any stat change Victini experiences after the ability change, be it positive or negative, will be doubled.
