Global Link for X?

I got my copies of X and Moon the other day and I'm trying to connect X to the global link but I'm currently lost in how to do so. Can somebody please explain how I can do so. I already have my account.

Global Link has been shut down for X, Y, OR and AS. Not sure if it's working for Sun and Moon yet but yeah they've got rid of all those features for those games.
