Hi everyone, it's the holiday season and here's a gift from me to you. I've been wanting to write this for some time, and I hope you all enjoy it. I look forward to hearing your feedback.
was the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
not a Pokémon was stirring not even meowth,
the Burmy were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that Delibird soon would be there,
the children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of Cherrim danced in their heads,
and Vivillon in his ball, and me and my cap,
had just settled down winters nap,
when out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter,
away to the window I flew like a Swellow,
to see what had landed far down below,
the moon on the breast of the new fallen hail,
gave the luster of midday the yard without fail,
I thought to myself, I couldn’t believe my luck,
when I saw a miniature sleigh and eight large Sawsbuck,
with a little red driver, so lively in quick,
I knew in a moment it must be that chick,
more rapid then Braviary his courses they came,
and he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
“Now, Dasher! Now, dancer! Now Prancer and Vixon!
On, Comet! On Cupid! On Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
now dash awake! dash away! dash away all!!!”
as dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
when they met with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
so up to the house top the courses they flew,
with the sleigh full of toys, and Delibird to,
and then in a twinkle, I heard on the roof,
the prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
down the chimney Delibird came with a bound.
He was downed all in feathers, from his head to his foot,
and his wings were all tarnished with ashes and soot
a bundle of toys he had wrapped in his tail,
he looks like a peddler about to open for sale.
His eyes how they twinkled, his beak how Mary,
his cheeks were snow white, and his body like a cherry
his droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and his beard of feathers looked just like the snow,
the stump of a pipe he held tight in his beak,
and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;
he had a broad face and around little belly,
that shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly.
he was chubby and plump, a right jolly old bird,
and I laughed when I saw him, though I might be heard;
a wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
he made not a sound, but went straight to his work;
and filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
and laying his wing aside of his beak,
and giving a nod, up the chimney he creeped,
he sprang to his sleigh, and to his team gave a whistle,
and away they all flew like the down of the thistle.
but I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL THE GOOD NIGHT!!!
