Mine was a shiny charmander. But when it was still an egg I traded it to a firend that wanted a charmander and it turn out to be shiny.

Ok I was playing HG and I was in the safari area and I ran into a shiny raticate. I tossed a pokeball at it and it ran away. I got so mad. Now Im trying to chain a few in pearl just to get it back....

Did you go strait to it and press A? Oh have either thunderus or tornadus in your front party spot. Oh and if either are hacked it wont work.
