Oshawott, because I loved the look of Samurott.
I hated the look of Snivy and Tepig... though I soon got them as eggs in GTS...

Oshawott. I picked him on black and white; naive and naughty nature, respectively, on the games. I plan on picking him again, a lonely/hasty natured male this time, when I buy Black2 in the fall on DAY ONE. Shoot, Ima reserve that game the day I can lol Actually, I have always picked the water starter since gen 1 in 98' when I first started playing pokemon. Never regret it once either lol
Plus, Samurott is a boss and so useful all through the game that he is the only other starter, other than totodile (fave starter of all 5 gens), that I never abandoned until I beat the game. Though of all the starters final evolution's shiny form, I like his least. (Serperior being the one I like best)

teppig fire types pound everyone and my emboar,infernape,blaziken,charizard,typhlosian could easily beat a lv100 samurott and all the other water type starters
