Mudkip is my favorite shiny starter, and the other two are pretty good. However I like most shiny starters except charmander.

I pick Hoenn, I like all the starters both shiny and not. Normally theres one Im not so fond of

Kanto- Originals, the first is always special
Johto- Great Designs, all have an endearing quality
Hoenn- Very Unique, interesting dual types in later evolutions
Sinnoh- Decent, a bit redundant (another turtle, another fire/fighting type)
