No offense but I think this thread is weird as in trying to find friends online on the internet. Should just go out and meet people or if your in High School or College right now just talk to classmates.

I like having internet friends on my facebook. I get to read (sometimes intimately) about the lives of strangers and their friends, which is cool to me.

I'm not saying this is a bad idea or anything, some of my closest friends I met over the internet, but I think you are going to obtain a few stalkers by doing this. Maybe just swap e-mails rather than Facebook? After all, facebook is home to the worlds population of stalkers.
