Did the person accidently enter in a generation 4 code on a generation 5 game or vice versa?
If not double check your friend code on your pal pad and try again maybe they entered in your code wrong.
And generation 4 games cannot trade with generation 5 games so may sure the person you are trading with is using the right generation. If your still having trouble please PM me and I'll try to help you out.

I'm using a 3ds and Pokemon white. The guy I tried trading with said he was using white as well. I check and double check the numbers and everything is right. Idk what else to do
