Don't know if you know this, but you can buy the other two kanto starter mega stones at the stone emporium in lumiose city. You'll want to make sure you're style is high since they start off being really pricey.

My point was that everyone can buy a venusaurite in their own game so it's unlikely they would trade their charizard x for another venusaurite.

I have 2 venusaurites, so it's likely that I would try to trade it away for another mega stone that I do not have. Maybe some people don't want to pay 300 k or get high style to buy megastone and would like to trade it, or maybe some people don't use mewtwo or charizard. That's what I'm hoping for lol...
