I'm breeding a Chansey/Blissey for my BM team right now, but in total I've bred just over 1000, so I think I'm due for a shiny soon XD

This is the first time I'm trying to breed for a shiny, I've hoped before when breeding to fill the pokedex and hoped I'd get a random one.

Checked on the GTS and I came across 2 shiny Charmanders but the people both wanted a Mew in return, which I wouldn't trade away even if I could lol

Yah they should ban event legendary pokemon from being requested on GTS, it really ruins the function. Anyways, good luck, I was extremely lucky and got one before I was even half done filling a box XD

I'm fed up of seeing the shiny poke I want on the GTS and I can't get it because has a poke you're not allowed to trade on it! Why allow it to be requested if you can't trade it!?

I've bred 3 shinies so far, and got them when the parent in the day care (starting lvl 1) reached 22 , 57 and 61.
I don't know how many boxes that is since I released everyting non-shiny =p

I wouldn't expect to get a shiny before one box, or even after 3 boxes for that matter. I usually have 15-20 boxes worth hatched before I get a shiny.

I know, I didn't mean from the Chanseys alone, I've done a bit over 1000 pokemon and have yet to hatch a shiny, so I'd have had a few more than 30 full boxes so far :/ it seems like it'll never happen DX

lol I'm hoping so XD I just realllllyyyy hope that when it comes out shiny, it isn't when I begin breeding a poke, but rather when I'm getting close to perfect ones everytime XD

Do you guys have the shiny charm yet? I kinda thought it helped with breeding shinies as well, because after I got it, I hatched a shiny rotom and a shiny goomy. :P (Less than two boxes for rotom, three boxes for goomy.)

It does help. And it also stacks with the Masuda Method =p
Making shiny breeding significantly easier.
