mine was a shiny pidgey in pokemon y! other than that i had been playing pokemon silver now thats a different story on how it happened, it was like 4:00 in the morning training my totodile then it happened! a shiny ratata lv 2! i was like "WHAT THE FRUITCAKE IS THAT!!!" i remember my totodile was at lv 14 already so i got angry cuz i accidentally killed it anyway... but the pidgey was an easy one! it was my first allied pokemon when i got the pokeball in 6 gen anyways im actually interested in what your guys shiny pokemon story is actually so you guys can leave your shiny getting history here! :3

the one that I caught? Well I'm guessing it would have to be shiny metang in Gen 5 although I'm forgetting what shiny I caught in gen IV.

My very first shiny was a Krabby in gen 3.
Given I never had Gold/Silver/Crystal I didn't know what a shiny was at that time.
Well you can only imagine how surprised/shocked I was. =p

Shiny Voltorb in Ruby :3 I still have it, as a lv 100 Electrode XD! It's nickname is Football. I got it when I was twelve, so the nicknames are bad for my early gen pokes

I got my first Gen6 shiny in Safari. It was a Flecthinder with its HA. I'm a RU battler so it's staying a Flecthinder.

First shiny was a Shiny Paras in Heartgold. Also got a shiny Raticate from Heartgold too. Believe it or not but the first shiny I got in 6th Gen was my shiny Paras that I bred ^-^

i actually cant use the masuda method effectively so i usually find shiny on the gts or by trade so im pretty much trading for the dex first before actually trying for a shiny competitive team...
