    Does the nintendo e-shop charge sales tax?

    I am planning on buying Super Smash Bros for the 3DS when it launces at midnight on the eshop and am wondering if the eshop charges sales tax? Im not sure if i want to use a $40 card of to buy it directly with a credit card and Ive read some areas dont charge it and i live in california in the united states.
