Thoughts on Battle Spot Special Season 6 Banlist?

From September 2014 to November 2014, a Double Battle competition is currently going where only Kalos-Dex Pokemon are allowed.

Banned Pokemon: Charizard, Gengar, Kangaskhan, Gyarados, Tyranitar, Mawile, Salamence, Garchomp, Togekiss, Rotom, Cresselia, Amoonguss, Thundurus, Landorus, Greninja, Talonflame, Meowstic, Aegislash, Sylveon, Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and Diancie

The Pokemon that made it into the Top 12 in Doubles of the previous seasons are currently banned from this competition. What are your thoughts on this matter? Does it seem fair? Will it open up more strategies?

If I were an immature person, I'd say that Game Freak has taken your whole 'win with your favorites' ideal and said "DUMP THAT NONSENSE!!"

Not particularly bothered. A large bulk of that is Legendary Pokemon and I don't use them in battle 9/10 times. The rest are either Megas or ones I use that can be replaced on my team. So no worries.
