event pokemon trading

What arethe rules for event pokemon being traded? I tried putting one in the gts and it said something along the lines of "you can't trade this pokemon". Is this just the gts or can I not trade it with a friend either?

it is really simple: all event pokemon have a special ribbon that you can't trade via wonder trade or gts. but yes, you can trade them with friends. hope this helped!
