So, it been confirmed that X&Y, the new Gen 6 series, out worldwide on October 12th, will introduce Fairy types... Sylveon is a confirmed Fairy Type, is known as the Intertwining Pokemon that uses its ribbon looking feelers to create an aura that calms those around it. It likes to wrap its feelers around its trainer when walking behind him or her. Old Pokemon will have Fairy added to them, such as: Gardevoir, the Psychic/Fairy, Marill, the Water/Fairy, and Jigglypuff, the Normal/Fairy.
Slyveon has a Fairy type move called MoonBlast that calls upon the power of the moon to deal damage and lower's the opponent's Attack stat.
Gardevoir will have Fairy move called: Fairy Wind.

Vivillon, a Bug/Flying type, was introduced, is the evolved form of the little known of Pokemon only known as Spewpa, and knows Struggle Bug. It's wings have a colorful pattern said to held a secret, and it uses the wife to scatter scales and attack with wind. It is 3'11", and 37.5 lbs.

Noivern, the other unveiled Pokemon, is a peculiar looking Flying/Dragon Type. Known as the Sound Wave Pokémon, its signature move is the Normal-type move BoomBurst. this attack damages all adjacent Pokémon, even allies. This Pokemon attacks with ultrasonic waves it emits from its ears, which can destroy boulders. It is very hostile to anything that comes to close to it. It loves fruit so much it can be kept calm by feeding it some. It is 4' 11" tall and weighs 187.4 lbs.

In addition to this, A new feature that's been hinted at sonce Gen 3 and also in Gen 5, called Pokémon-Amie, was mentioned.This will allow players to connect and play with their Pokémon, which will increase their friendship. Players can use this feature on the touch screen to feed their Pokemon, give them high fives, pet them, and tilt their heads for whatever reason. Bigger Pokémon like Snorlax and Tyranitar take up both screens. A high friendship level will help the player's Pokémon to perform better during a battle. A poorly treated Pokémon may react negatively towards its Trainer.

Finally, Fennekin is shown to know the move Fire Spin, and look out for a new trailer with three new Pokémon based on a seahorse, a crustascean and a new bird. Also, some kind of an air battle has been confirmed, involving a Haunter and some kind of bird resembling Fletching. Maybe it's evolved form?? This has been rumored previously, some kind of battle involving only Flying types and those with Levitate!
The male character's name is aid to be Xavier.
There seems to be a new way to encounter wild Pokemon, based on this ingame quote: "Whoa! The Heloptile you stepped on attacked!"
