On July 11th, Japan will be showing a Pokemon special called: Mewtwo: Prologue to the Awakening.
The special's story is related to the new Pokemon movie, Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening) film, which will open in Japan on July 13. The story is set before Mewtwo meets Ash in the new movie, detailing its history, and intentions to be the strongest Pokémon. It is said that Mewtwo is in hiding from both humans and Pokemon due to the overwhelming Speed and power it now possesses in its new forme... Has it finally achieved its longsaught goal to become the most powerful Pokemon of them all? Virgil, the Unova League Champion, will encounter Mewtwo, and Mewtwo will be changing forme in the special.
This movie is said to be the final chapter of Pokemon Best Wishes series. It's noteworthy that actress Reiko Takashima will be playing the voice of Mewtwo, while actor Masachika Ichimura voiced Mewtwo, in the first movie Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back.
