Pokemon X and Y Test Competition Coming Soon!
While those of us in America, Europe and Oceania must wait for the release of Pokemon Bank for what seems to be an eternity, there is some slightly good news!
The first Battle Competition for Pokémon X & Y has finally been revealed. The Test Competition, which previously announced alongside the last Generation 5 tournament the 2013 Global Showdown, will be live from February 21st to February 24th.
However entrants are limited to players who participated in the 2013 Global Showdown competition for Black 2 & White 2. But in case you are like me and many other people who happened to miss it, then there is some good news. There will be an extra 10,000 entries allowed from Friday 31st January 2014.
For more details, including the type of battle and all restrictions that will be revealed before the competition, keep checking www.pokemon.com or here on PokeBay News for another update.
Fan Reactions on Pokemon Bank and Nintendo News:
While fans are still furious over the lack of a Pokemon Bank release date outside of Japan and select Asian countries, it's been a very rough start to the year for Nintendo, and after posting weak sales for the Wii U, CEO Satoru Iwata has declared he will slash his own salary to atone for the disaster.
According to BusinessInsider, Iwata will slash his salary in half for five months, while other members of the board will take a pay cut between 20% and 30%. But the Wii U debacle is not the only thing Nintendo users want Iwata to pay for.
On social media platforms, virtually every post by Nintendo of America or related accounts such as Nintendo of Europe, is spammed with demands for Pokemon Bank. And with the recent rumored release date gone, it seems Pokemon X and Y fans feel Iwata has a lot more to answer for than the Wii U.
So what are your opinions on Pokemon Bank's delays, and on Satoru Iwata cutting his own salary? Also will you be participating in the Pokemon Test Competition?
