• Brand New Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire News!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to PokeBay News!
After the success in covering news and reveals about Pokemon X and Y last year we're back to keep you updated about the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire games. So let's get started!

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Are 'Full-Fledged' Remakes:

Upon the reveal of the announcement trailer for these two games two days ago, there was a bit of confusion on if these two games were remakes of the original Ruby and Sapphire games or if they were part of some kind of 'extended story-arc' thanks to the two taglines used in the trailer. Those taglines being 'An Epic New Adventure is Coming' and 'Explore a Dramatic New World'. However the Worldwide CEO of Nintendo, Mr. Satoru Iwata has clarified in an investor's meeting that these two games are 'full remakes' of the 2003 games which were also the best selling games on the Game Boy Advance with a combined total of 16.22 million copies sold besting Pokemon Firered and Leafgreen's combined copies sold at 11.82 million copies sold, and also besting the Ruby and Sapphire revamp Pokemon Emerald at 6.32 million copies sold.

New Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Game Footage Coming Tomorrow!

In a trailer for this week's episode of Pokemon Get☆TV the successor show to Pokemon Smash, it has been announced that gameplay footage will be shown sometime during the show. Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre?

Now the biggest item of speculation at the moment is if the two Pokemon shown on the cover of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire well and truly are Groudon and Kyogre, new forms of them or even Mega Evolutions of them. Well we have been given a clue as members of the Pokemon Daisuki Club in Japan got an email this week discussing the games, and the email also mentioned the new designs of Groudon and Kyogre. With them it mentioned that they are 'showcasing never before-seen Pokemon' this tagline was also used to reveal Black and White Kyurem in Black 2 and White 2 and to reveal Mega Mewtwo Y in Pokemon X and Y. So we could most certainly be looking at new forms of Groudon and Kyogre but as the Mega Evolution mechanic was released in the last two Pokemon games, most fans are leaning towards them being Mega Evolutions.

So what do you think? Are you looking forward to the remakes? Will you be watching Pokemon Get☆TV on the live stream? Do you think we're looking at Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre?
