The Pokemon Company have announced two new Pokemon games coming to the Nintendo switch November 16, 2918. Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee will focus on the Kanto region, taking inspiration from Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Go, and only feature the first 151 Pokemon (1st generation of Pokemon).
Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee will be able to connect with Pokemon Go so you can send Pokemon from Go to Lets Go. A special, never before seen, Pokemon will be able to be sent from Lets Go to Pokemon Go.
As can be seen from the trailer above, Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Pokemon Lets Go Eevee will be a significant change from the usual gameplay we're used to. There will no longer be wild Pokemon battles. Instead you will be taken straight to the catch screen which used the Pokemon Go style of throwing PokeBalls and aiming for a target for the best possible chance to catch the Pokemon.
The core series will continue with the 8th Generation of Pokemon in 2019 but no further details have been announced.
A new spin-off game, Pokemon Quest, was also announced for the Nintendo Switch and Mobile devices. It's a free-to-start title that allows you to explore Tumblecube island to gather treasure and find new Pokemon. The game is available now on the Nintendo Switch eShop and will be available on mobile devices in late June.
